I create to explore and illuminate the interconnectedness that shapes human survival and wellbeing. Art serves as a catalyst for dialogue.

As a self-taught contemporary mixed-media fiber artist, my practice centers on interconnectedness and influences that shape human survival and collective well-being within communities. My sculptures reflect the lived realities of the people and places they represent, with aesthetics that celebrate diversity, resilience, and the vibrant cultural fabric unique to each setting.
Where do you find inspiration?Guided by biophilic design principles, I draw on organic forms and vibrant hues to evoke renewal, whimsy, and emotional engagement. My goal is to create restorative spaces that invite reflection, resilience, and personal interpretation, while harmonizing with architectural surroundings. Over time, I have cultivated a visual language rooted in playfulness, innovation, and risk-taking. My ongoing exploration of material, form, and technology continues to energize my work.
What would you do with $25,000?My plan for $25,000 is to deepen my exploration of interconnectedness and human survival by expanding my creative research through travel and on-site immersion. I intend to visit at least three countries across Latin America and the Caribbean to study how rural and underrepresented communities navigate environmental and infrastructural challenges. By examining the threads of interconnectedness among these communities, I hope to translate their stories into sculptural forms.
