I've been working with graphite pencil all my life and I love to create beauty incorporating the human body, especially the eye. I believe that the eye is doorway to our soul and the most important part of my creations. I put my heart and soul into the art and believe that once my creations are finished, they have a spirit of their own .
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in life around me. I believe that art should be something of beauty and pleasing to the eye. Beautiful people and beauty from nature is what inspires my creative talent. When I create, I want people to see from my perspective and what I find so inspirational about what ever it is that my hands bring to life. Art is my way of showing the world the way I precieve life and what it means to me.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win $25,000 ,I would really be able to begin part two of my life and really begin to focus on the gift that I was given. My husband passed away just over three years ago and before he passed away, we had talked about my dream. Just recently, I was able to see that I can move forward, just knowing and feeling that I still have my husband's support of making my dream come true of writing stories for children's books and bringing these stories to life with the illustrations that I do.
