Creating art is such a huge anchor for me in life, keeping me in the present. I love making something physical out of something I envision.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating anything full of whimsy, playfulness, etc. I like to incorporate different bits of my culture into what I create sometimes as well. Anything that’s a representation of myself and my life, or the things that have impacted it.
Where do you find inspiration?Sometimes I find it within myself, but mostly from everyday things around me. Im a teacher, so sometimes I even find it through my students. I look for it in the things I enjoy, and the people I love as well as other artists.
What would you do with $25,000?I would continue to further my pursuit into my art career. I work for a non-profit school in Chicago, so I would donate some money to help support the students where I work. I’d also love to pay off some of my student loans.
