In my professional art career, I illustrate some of the world’s most complex mazes, and hold a world record for my work. When I’m not designing mazes, I love to work in various clay and ceramics, integrating my 3D sculptural work into one-of-a-kind custom frames and other decorative and functional art pieces. My work blends borders in mediums, and can include mixed media, woodworking, painting, textiles and found objects.
Where do you find inspiration?Ideas are just ideas until someone creates them. My inspiration comes from curiosity. Ordinary things can be extraordinary with a little imagination and creativity.
What would you do with $25,000?I own a very small art gallery and serve on the board and as a member of our art committee in my community. Every year we host Art Takeover Project, a community-wide art event that supports up to 100 artists paired up with 35 local businesses. If I won 25k, the gallery would be able to grow this event and expand opportunities to our amazing local artists.
