We artists witness our time—joy, fear, failure, love. We create audiovisual records of our era for future generations; that’s our role.

Definitely, for me, sculpture allows a character or object to begin as a drawing and then exist in three dimensions. Being able to view it from every angle creates a deeply intimate experience.
Where do you find inspiration?People and their solitude—those we encounter on the street or in the subway—and their difficulty expressing real emotions in a society saturated with technology. Alongside that, the social and political issues that affect us all. Everyone has a story, even couples, and I try to infuse it with a touch of sci-fi that I love.
What would you do with $25,000?I work with 3D printers, filaments, and post-processing materials for my sculptures. I would purchase a couple of additional printers and materials to expand production. At times, I rent a workshop to handle steps I can’t do at home—such as priming, sanding, and painting. Living in NYC, some of these processes can be quite expensive.
