I have been creating art since I can remember. It has provided me with joy and happiness, a way to transcendence. It's about freedom.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Abstract acrylic, watercolor paintings, pastels and multimedia art. Basically, any surface. I love painting boxes, walls and furniture as well. As long as color is involved, I'm all in! I really love all art, especially fauvist and impressionism. I enjoy the works of Raoul Dufy and Jean Dufy because they have movement, are happy, light, colorful and deconstructed. They were not bogged down with rules, but instead chose to experiment and follow their own hearts.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere. I believe nature and my imagination are my greatest inspirations. The color of flowers, the sea and the sky inspire me to believe there is beauty in everything. What I love about art is that there are no mistakes. It is a journey, an exploration and on that journey, you learn and trust in the process. You begin to see new things and with everyday, you grow as a person and an artist. You learn to release your ego and just enjoy what you do and see.
What would you do with $25,000?I would donate part of it to buy art supplies to distribute to schools and give free art workshops in basic color theory and painting.
