When I was a younger child I loved to draw, especially copy other artists. I got so good at copying but I always wanted to have my own style. In high school I fell in love with collage. I love the intricate cuts and fitting peices together. I do mainly surrealism collages because I feel like I can go into a new world. A world I can be as creative as I want and show my emotion at the same time.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from everyday objects. Collage is filled with people, animals, random objects. Being able to see things in the real world that could be turned into collage helps me find inspiration in magazines. I’m also inspired by my family. My family is full of artists from my dad to his mom and her mom. Each family member with there own unique style. Once I found an art style I loved I new art was carried through our family and I was meant to create!
What would you do with $25,000?I’m going off to college next year. Having 25,000 would help with school and what I do with my future after school. We are living in a time where everything is getting more expensive money to be able to allow myself to have a better opportunity to follow my dreams and aspirations. I’ve always felt like I never fit into the mundane lifestyle and I have always strived to follow my passions.
