I examine how the women body stores memory, tension, and strength beneath its surface. Instead of literal representation.

My favorite types of art to create are sculpture and painting. I feel connected to both of these practices in different ways, and they allow me to explore my ideas more deeply. Sculpture gives me a physical and spatial experience. I can touch the material, shape it, and build a form that exists in real space. Painting, on the other hand, gives me freedom with color, surface, and emotion. Together, they complete my artistic language.
Where do you find inspiration? The human body, especially the body of women, is one of my strongest sources of inspiration. I am interested in how the body carries emotion, history, and social meaning. I observe how bodies exist in space, how they change, and how they can express both power and vulnerability. Sometimes inspiration comes from real people, sometimes from memory, and sometimes from imagination, but it always connects back to this idea of the body as a living archive.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to support both my thesis project and my family. The funding would help cover material and production costs, allowing me to fully develop my sculpture work and experiment more freely. It would also give me time and mental space to focus on my research and ideas. In addition, I would use part of the money to help my family as a way to give back for their support.
