Illustrations!! Because it can be anything. It can carry hidden meanings and feel sad, furious, playful, or however you want it to feel. It can mimic real life or become completely otherworldly. Everyone has their own form of escape, and for me, illustrating is that escape. Ironically, it also makes me feel more connected to life and helps me notice the details in everyday experiences.

By taking walks, observing my surroundings, and photographing anything that catches my eye or feels full of potential. When creating, I look back at those photos and imagine what they could become. Inspiration can come from a moment or conversation, but for me, it mostly appears during the creative process itself. Once I start working, more ideas come to mind. I wish I had a more definitive answer, but inspiration feels very spontaneous to me.

I’m a recent graduate, so I would use a portion of the prize to invest in my future and become more financially secure as I take my first steps into the creative industry. With the rest, I would invest in my creative growth by funding personal projects, improving my equipment, and creating work that allows me to build my portfolio and express my ideas freely.
