Creative self expression is an elixir. And while we can try to find allopathic means to heal the physical body, art can heal our soul.

I love the challenge of creating psychologically penetrating images that serve as a mirror, often for things I'm working on myself. If a photo evokes a powerful emotional response in the viewer, then I know I've tapped into a shared emotional truth. It helps dissolve loneliness and conjures a kind of intimacy. Exploring complex themes in life, death and rebirth... shedding light on our shadow nature, and inviting healing through the shared shorthand of allegory... It's what I'm called to do.
Where do you find inspiration?Intellectual and literal travel... Understanding people and their perspectives... I'm inspired by alchemy—synthesizing the natural, psychological, spiritual worlds... By archeology—finding beauty everywhere in what is often overlooked, avoided, discarded, or abandoned out of fear, guilt or shame… And by the power art has to bring light and healing into the darkest places and times of our lives.
What would you do with $25,000?Honestly, I'd enjoy being The People's Art Benefactor. Imagine if one could create a true online marketplace that ensures artists PROFIT from their work! No percentage gouging...No algorithms...Profits going towards art therapy programs for children, scholarships, grants... THAT or I'd move to Europe for six months, commence writing an 8 volume photography/essay series based on my 2022 BAI exhibition "Postcards From the Land of Yod," self-publish, and wither quietly back into anonymity.
