I like contemporary textile/fiber art with a twist. One-of-a-kind couture-type fabrics, created with deadstock that I recycle and embellish with found objects, vintage items, recycled clothing, etc. I like to paint, sew, knit, crochet, embroider, stencil, laser-cut, and more. I also love working in Midjourney, the AI program where I can enter hand-made items and give them a digital form.
Where do you find inspiration?Thrift shops, museums, books, computer programs, traveling, nature, it can be anywhere. I always keep my eyes open and constantly am learing new things.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d buy a felting machine and start making art from thrift finds and other interesting supplies I have collected. I'd also invest some money to start a monthly up-cycling class in collaboration w/ my local thrift and hope to bring together crafters + artist of all ages to connect and create new items w/ materials that are already here & connect generations, one having an interest in "grandma" hobbies & the other having the knowledge to pass on.
