When I’m creating art I feel a certainty that it is my calling. Whatever I am painting about, I know others will find meaning and relate.

I make mixed media paintings of all sizes, though very large is my favorite. My work is based on a great variety of subjects, women, the future, love and loss to name a few. Some pieces are abstract and some are figurative. I use a lot of bright, expressive colors, particularly fluorescents. Many of my painting glow under a black light. I paint interior and exterior murals and also create custom repurposed books and fabrics based on my paintings.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the beauty and ugliness of everyday life objects and experiences. Anything, that catches my eye and creates an emotional response or causes me to ask questions.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to invest in a building where I could have a large studio and perhaps even multiple studios for other artists as well. I would also like to invest in a line of fabrics and clothing that have my own designs printed on them.
