Art is my obsession, my air, my every thought. I’ve spent my life immersed in it and I couldn’t live without it.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I'm currently working in glass but I also paint in oil, acrylic and encaustic. I'm a printmaker, a metalworker and a woodworker. I do figurative work, landscapes, cityscapes and abstract sculpture. It's impossible to choose a favourite.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration is literally everywhere; it's the world and all that's in it. I am fortunate to be affected by it and to have the luxury of expressing that affection. Words, music, politics, and environment are ever-present and ever-changing. I will never run out of inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?I would love to build a small studio outside my house so there would be room inside for the people who live there (bless them, they are very tolerant). I'd love a space where I can leave my work on the table and close the door; a space where I can work at whatever time of day or night I feel like it and not disturb my family. Or I might just buy a new torch, a bunch of glass and a bigger kiln. A bunch of paint and brushes....
