I love to create personal mythology by infusing surrealism into collage -- exploring the liminal qualities of time, memory, and dreams.

I explore memory, history and personal mythology through visual art, sound, movement, writing and performance. My favorite type of art is whatever inspires me to create in the moment.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by stories. The creation of narrative is part of the human experience, imperative to it. We all create and ingest stories daily. We like to share them and to try to understand other people through them. The narratives that we create help us to shape and witness who we are. And whether our personal narratives live inside a greater truth – or false – they end up becoming true for us in the way that we mythologize them.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 will allow me to dedicate focused time and resources to research, experimentation, and creativity. My work is deeply connected to community and dialogue. In addition to exhibitions, I have participated in public art projects, mural initiatives, residencies, and curatorial and juror roles that support and amplify other artists, particularly women and artists of color. I view my practice as both personal and communal—one that contributes to a broader ecosystem of cultural exchange.
