I love creating art because it is how I connect to a higher power of love and through that connection i am able to express freely.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I've dabbed in many mediums from ceramics, macrame, welding steel, but what I am extremely prolific at is painting. I mostly exhibit my Abstracts but I also enjoy doing more narrative pieces which I usually keep to myself and those are more along an Abstract Expressionist style. I'm extremely creative so I always have to be making something it can be as simple as a short phrase burnt on a driftwood or a refurbishing an old piece of furniture. To me everything in life is better surrounded by Art
Where do you find inspiration?I'm extremely lucky because I rarely ever have lack of inspiration I know when I paint my abstracts that it comes from a deep connection to some form of higher power I surprise myself all the time. It's like a peak into my subconscious. There very spiritual to me. Now when I paint something narrative or expressionist it usually stems from some form of human injustice and the painting itself evolved from a title.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to open up an Art Studio where I could teach others in my community how to be creative with any medium of choice. Id also have classes for homeschooled kids or retired adults . With this studio I could secure an income and leave teaching at a regular school. I'd also continue doing what I have always done since a very young age which is be creative.
