I collage because I am fragments. I take what's broken, forgotten, discarded — and prove it still belongs

Collage is my life's work. I build worlds from what others discard — torn pages, forgotten photographs, broken things. Every layer is intentional. Every piece fights for its place. This isn't a hobby. This is how I communicate what words cannot hold. Collage chose me as much as I chose it.
Where do you find inspiration?Pain. Survival. The beauty hiding in overlooked places. I find inspiration in what gets thrown away — by people, by time, by circumstance. I've lived through things that broke me into pieces. Collage taught me that fragments can become something whole, something powerful, something undeniable. My life is my inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?This money would be a turning point. I would build a real studio, invest in materials, and finally dedicate myself to this work full time. I have sacrificed consistently to keep creating. $25,000 means I stop surviving and start fully arriving as the artist I know I am. I will not waste this opportunity.
