It keeps me sane. In touch with my deeper self. My practice is rooted in collage and mixed media. I like to gather & compose.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Collage and mixed media. I gather papers, images and found materials, then cut, layer and assemble them into a new composition . I love to assemble!I often paint around these elements allowing gesture and texture to guide the work. It’s both intuitive & deliberate, balancing spontaneity with composition. I love how this method transforms ordinary fragments into something new.
Where do you find inspiration? In nature Emotions Music Poetry French novels (Mme Bovary)
What would you do with $25,000?My collages always have been small, intimate pieces but I have a strong desire to see how their energy and spirit can live on a larger scale. At home I don’t have the space to make this shift. I would rent a studio space and have a dedicated environment to grow. My goal would be to translate the spontaneity and rawness of my small works into larger pieces that carry the same sense of urgency & innocence.
