I love creating art that evokes feelings of joy, peace, and love, or that brings back pleasant memories and brings a smile to people's faces

I truly love painting the nature that surrounds me—animals, birds, flowers, and everything else in America that inspires me. I began my creative career by making quilts, then started creating quilted fabric portraits, but eventually transitioned to oil painting.
Where do you find inspiration?I was deeply inspired by the natural landscapes of Oklahoma, as well as by the people who have surrounded me since the very day I arrived in the U.S. I was born in Ukraine, and painting has allowed me to find solace and distraction from the events currently unfolding in the Ukraine. It also opened up an opportunity to sell my paintings and, in doing so, provided support to my family and friends who remained behind.
What would you do with $25,000?I really want to open an art gallery in our small town of Pawnee Oklahoma to show everyone just how talented and creative the people who live here are!
