I create art, weaving with color my Latin heritage into vibrant stories, inspired by generations of women who wooted cotton to survive.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My primary medium is painting, but my work incorporates other elements like found objects. I combine many pieces into a single composition, often using wood, fabric and canvas together.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from natural environments and landscapes of places I have visited. My work is not photographic; instead, I use a vibrant color palette to interpret nature. I use color to represent my Latin heritage and tell stories inspired by generations of women in my family. Each piece combines multiple elements into a single composition that reflects, place, culture, and history
What would you do with $25,000?I will fix my studio, add AC unit to work in winter, buy materials.
