Art is expression that my neuro pathways haven’t quite figured out how to make spill out of my mouth, yet my hands reveal the beauty

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I’m most experienced in painting with acrylics like my father taught me, and have more recently got into using alcohol ink and shimmery mica powders. I’ve started to create using resin and I am really loving that! Freezing a moment in an ocean scene or florals with a special meaning. I love painting small details on a piece. I find it soothing to play with the shading, adding layer upon layer and watching it come to life! Landscapes and portraits are my niche, but I’d like to try abstract

Where do you find inspiration?

The world is full of beauty and nature is where I find my inspiration. Such great moments of joy come from the smallest observations. A petal falling from a blossom high in the tree, where the sun rays shine through new leaves and leave a feeling of warm glowing in your heart. Seeing an elderly couple clumsily helping each other navigate through a new technological world just to order a sandwich - something we might take for granted, they might find to be the biggest struggle of their day

What would you do with $25,000?

With $25000 I would work on opening up a small studio/cafe in my small island town. I love to bake and make a mean coffee. I’d love to be able to host in an environment where people can enjoy local art, take part in a creative club and learn new skills while enjoying homemade snacks, and listening to live local music. I’d like to start art clubs where live music sets the vibe - from a crafting rager party with body paint and UV lights, to an elegant classical art club with no screens
