My life and my art are intertwined, creating work that is uniquely mine. I found the extraordinary by seeing the ordinary in a new way.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am a photographer of city lights. My work offers an experimental take on light and movement as memory and connection. Born during the COVID pandemic, to counter physical and emotional isolation, streaks of electric light, color, and motion transform my light photography into atmospheric, abstract visions that I describe as “photo-paintings”.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration is right outside my window, all around me, the extraordinary in the ordinary. For me, light inhabits a form which is revealed in its motion—a graceful dance of color, darkness, and radiance. I explore the power of light to create shape, define space, capturing an extraordinary world of motion, light pulsing with life.
What would you do with $25,000?So far, the bulk of my work has been the lights of New York City, with a brief cameo of lights from Paris. My dream/goal is to create work that is global, a portfolio of light, movement, and connection from around the world.
