What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite art to create is the kind that resonates with others, preferably a painting but all mediums work, paint simply allows for a quiet unity between the viewer and myself. Even if I don’t know exactly what someone feels when looking at my work, I know that I’ve put my thoughts on display with every brushstroke and every minute spent staring at a canvas as I filled its blank spaces. As of now, is my way to create from within. But I’ve always experimented with other mediums and enjoyed it.

Where do you find inspiration?

I am 16 years old and I am inspired by little things in life that are too common to be appreciated or too heavy to be forgotten. Things like familiar smells of home, the depth of a childhood memory, or the flickering innocence in a child’s eyes. I find inspiration in emotions or ideas, with hopes of giving form to the inexplicable things that can be seen as a bigger picture. I look to express moments which I may never experience, and capture the parts of us that words can't reach.

What would you do with $25,000?

$25,000 would be life changing for me. My art would have a limitless outreach that I could’ve never imagined. I would invest in my education, being closer to achieving a career that will allow financial freedom whilst doing the things I love most. I would look towards formal training for my creative journey, where I will have opportunities like never before. But beyond my own growth, I aim to make a difference, I will continue to put myself out there, and dedicate myself to something meaningful.
