I’ve been creating art since a very early age. Making art doesn’t feel like making art, it feels like extending parts of who I am on paper.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am most familiar and comfortable with traditional pen (or other writing) and paper. I also like painting, and have tried sculpting clay once. I’m interested in branching into more forms.
Where do you find inspiration? My imagination. I have never taken an art class, and I am self taught. Anything that pops into my head I try to recreate the best I can on paper the way I see it in my head. Sometimes I can use images as reference, bot most of my art is from my own imagination. I’m inspired by how much whimsical life felt as a kid, and I don’t want to lose that whimsey as an adult.
What would you do with $25,000?I am a stay at home mom of two boys under the age of three. If I won $25,000, I would enroll myself in a good GED program to finish, and later further my education. I would buy a new car, not something flashy, just reliable. I’d probably get my babies some new clothes and shoes, a couple toys they really like. I’d use the money to live how other people live on a daily basis, but with smart decision-making.
