I create art to stay grounded, honor my culture, build community, inspire youth, and practice self-care through its healing power.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is painting landscapes—both observed and imagined—with a touch of whimsy. I’m drawn to nature’s beauty, especially trees, which serve as a constant source of inspiration. Through color, texture, and form, I explore peaceful scenes that invite reflection and connection, blending realism with imagination to create spaces that feel both grounded and dreamlike.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life and the places I visit, often capturing unique or unexpected moments through my own photography. I use these images—both past and present—as references to create meaningful artwork. Nature is my greatest source of inspiration, continuously influencing my themes, colors, and compositions while guiding the overall direction of my creative process.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would work toward establishing a storefront studio dedicated to art education and community engagement. The space would host classes, cultural events, and creative activities for all ages. It would also serve as a working studio where I can continue creating, share my work, and provide accessible art services to the community and surrounding areas.
