I’m an independent filmmaker who loves celebrating life through stories. My stylistic approach is unique, combining animation and video.

I feel I have many, not limited to film/video or photography, the fields I studied in art school. I enjoy animating, painting, drawing and writing. To me writing is a form of art. I write screenplays, essays, books and poems. For me, the favorite type of art is the art that entails storytelling. Lately I have been especially drawn to illustration. I create digital drawings on my tablet, using references from my photographs. Illustration is a powerful form or storytelling that I deeply enjoy.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspirations for my films and other artwork comes from daily experiences. I love life in all its forms— the good, the bad and the ugly. Culture and history also fascinates me, as do sharing laughs, downtime, exercising, and singing! My mind is full of creative ideas, and I make a point of setting aside time each day to bring them into form. I’m deeply interested in people and their perspectives, especially how their individual stories shape who they are.
What would you do with $25,000?With each independent film I produce, my goal is to craft the strongest possible screenplay and deliver cinematic production value that meets professional broadcast standards. I intend to use this prize to upscale my latest independent work of fiction. These funds will allow for greater refinement in the craft, from securing higher-quality equipment to collaborating with a dedicated cast.
