I love to recreate anything that holds symbolic meaning in my life, live references of places I’ve been, the people in my life, as well as childhood photos. Experiences that make me who I am are the most important thing I need to capture though my art before they are forgotten, after doing so I feel a sense of accomplishment that’s unlike any other feeling.
Where do you find inspiration?Being a young artist I know that anything I create now I will one day look back on and use to remember my life then. By drawing what brings life to my days, the birds, the trees, my memories, that’s how I document who I am. It’s how I remember what mindset I was once in and what held importance in my life, in a way my art is part of myself. It expresses who I am more than my voice ever could, because of that my largest inspiration is myself.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to say art school, but 25k would barely scratch the surface of that. I do see myself getting my first car, I have the whole country I’d love to see and being so young I know what that experience could do for me would be irreplaceable. Getting out into the world by myself and being able to focus on myself and through that my art is the most important of my goals, putting this off would be a waste of passion. I won’t settle for later when I’m living for this right now.
