Whimsical big eyed art … drenched in bright colours & embraced by extremely dark shadowed accents. When space is not an issue, I tend to create mostly with acrylic paints & a dash of mixed media (including glitter, gold leaf, & or faux candy sprinkles). When I am dabbling with ideas or have limited space, I work in my art journals, mainly using watercolours adorned with areas of ink, pastel, pencil crayons, embossing and more. I ❤️ to focus on the eyes & everything they can hold.
Where do you find inspiration?Almost everywhere. It could be in the delicate smell of petals fluttering down from a cherry tree, a bird eye balling me from the power line, an old school exaggerated cartoon on Saturday morning, or the sounds that sweep past my ears when I close my eyes and just ‘take a moment’.
What would you do with $25,000?Honestly, I am 56 this year & would like to take all my life experiences (the ups & downs) to create a collection that evokes whimsy, warmth, & community. I want to work on a visual collection that makes people stop in their tracks & take notice. So that they take that moment to ‘just be’, think & be inspired. To incorporate textures that make the audience want to view it from all different angles. 😘 I look forward to sharing my work with all of you & thank you for considering me for your vote.
