I enjoy metal work, I like being able to make what I want into reality. My workshop is under construction and so is my new artists life.

My favorite type of art to create is something whimsical but functional, likely why I like to work in metals. a Fantasy inspired doors, historical recreations; or just kind of ridiculous item that are hard to find or don't exist(an example on my list is a very large "anime" style cleaver). Not to let the ascetic overwhelm the function; the door should be strong, the recreations should be accurate, and the ridiculous items shouldn't cause difficulty for the user
Where do you find inspiration?my inspiration is mainly the challenge of making peoples imaginary items from scratch, and figuring out how to make it happen in reality. eg. materials have limitations and preferences for how they are worked and exist. gold, copper, and silver are soft and need to be worked cold, iron and steals are hard and need to be worked hot, all; if overworked will crack, mixing some with others wile cause disharmony and corrosion over time. stones, gems, oils, and woods all have their place.
What would you do with $25,000?With the grand prize money? that not only would help moving forward funding tooling and equipment but would encourage and support the idea that I am an artist and can make a proper go at it (not to mention the exposure). not just to play it safe on the edges like I have been for years. so I would step into my art more fully and confidently trying to help people acquire the items from their imaginations and make them real
