I love to create art because it gives me the ability to show my passion and creativity to the world. That will hopefully inspire others!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art that I love to create would be of superheroes, especially Spider-Man. Ever since I was a kid, I would always love to draw Spider-Man for hours! But one favorite type of art that I have been doing recently, that I absolutely love, is symbolic pieces. These types of drawings have been about my life and something that I currently face, or have faced, such as divorce and anxiety. Showing those hard topics into drawings is not only beautiful but, in my eyes, tells my story to others.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration usually comes from other artists' work that I see. Seeing other people create such beautiful and fantastic art gives me ideas for what my next drawing could be about, or what it should include. I would also say music is, in a way, an inspiration for me, growing up I heard music from all genres from rap to rock to Spanish and even Raegae. When I make art I love to listen to music it makes me feel in the moment even slower ambient music makes me feel calm and peaceful!
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to donate a portion of the money to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. I would also like to give a portion to my parents; they both work so hard to keep a roof over my head and food on the table. Giving them a portion of this money would not only be a thank you to them, but it would also show my appreciation and love for them. I would also use the money to take my family out to dinner, hopefully somewhere fancy!
