Art is life. After a liver transplant, I realized that life is too short to do something I hate, so I quit my job & became a tattoo artist
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Black and grey surrealism, graphite & ink. I love creating original pieces & tatting them on skin.
Where do you find inspiration? From remembering death, in order to truly cherish life. I almost died a year ago. I had a rare type of anemia & needed a liver transplant. I had to make peace with death. That gave me the gift of gratitude. My art is a mix of macabre and beauty. Death is only ugly because most of us are afraid to die. My art shows that death can be beautiful. It is necessary in order for us to appreciate life. I believe death is not the end. It's a continuation of our spiritual existence with newfound wisdom.
What would you do with $25,000?I would save it for a down payment on a house, so that I can provide security & comfort for the family I have started in this second chance at life.
