I enjoy making sports pizzas, from team logos to player portraits. I would have to say it’s a close favorite between sports and kids pizzas. Kids pizzas, everything from Disney characters to Pokemon. Real portraits are the most challenging, and when done well, most rewarding to create. I’m still learning & practicing. I look forward to getting better and more accurate when it comes to portrait pizzas. A tough question to answer, any artistic pizza is my favorite type to make!
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from the reaction of those who get to see & eat it. When I unveil a pizza, open the pizza box, it’s usually followed with an expression of joy! Seeing people’s reactions to my masterpizzas is everything. What makes it even better is when they bite into it and enjoy the taste. Not only art, but edible! We can all get behind that. We continue to see a rise in Food Artists. So many talented chefs. It’s a niche that’s becoming mainstream and should be offered more commercially.
What would you do with $25,000?I am a personal chef that works in my own kitchen & travels to other kitchens. It would be amazing to have a store-front for people to come visit & see my masterpizzas in person. I would put that money towards a store-front commercial kitchen. Also, more equipment like bigger pans, bigger ovens and other equipment to enhance my artistic pizzas! Thanks for reading. Visit my social pages @nickyatspizza
