I create because I notice what others miss. Art lets me hold it still long enough for it to matter. A little chaos, a little truth.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create photographic “evidence” of places and things left behind. I’m drawn to abandoned spaces, objects, and landscapes where time, nature, and human presence intersect. My work isn’t just about what’s there, it’s about what remains, what was interrupted, and what still holds energy. I aim to make people feel like they’ve stumbled into a story they weren’t meant to see.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the overlooked. Abandoned homes, forgotten objects, desert landscapes and the quiet moments most people pass by. I’m drawn to places that feel like they’re holding onto something. Nature reclaiming manmade spaces, a single chair in the wrong place, a structure that last longer than it could. I follow curiosity and let the environment reveal what matters.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in building a body of work centered around my “ evidence files” series, traveling to remote locations, documenting abandoned spaces, and producing a published collection of photography and writing. I would also upgrade equipment and create high quality prints to share and sell. This would allow me to fully commit to my work and grow it into something sustainable and impactful.
