Receive Text UpdatesI create mixed media art exploring materials, discovery, and quiet details—often using encaustic, natural elements, and layered, archival processes.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in overlooked details and quiet discoveries such as architecture, fossils, antique objects, and printed ephemera. Subtle shifts in surface, translucency, and imperfect geometry pull me in. My process is driven by curiosity and visual archaeology, where each layer reveals something hidden, encouraging a slower, more intimate encounter with the work.
What would you do with $25,000?I would build a dedicated studio to deepen my mixed media practice and create a welcoming space for the community. As a veteran teacher, I’d also offer free art classes for local children, providing access to creative exploration and material discovery. The studio would become a place of learning, curiosity, and connection, where art is both made and shared.
