I create art to hold onto memories—turning fleeting moments into something lasting, so they don’t fade with time.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is candid, emotion-driven photography—capturing raw, in-between moments where light, feeling, and story collide. I’m drawn to fleeting expressions, natural movement, and the quiet details people often miss, turning them into something lasting and meaningful.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere—cornfields, the state fair, the ocean, in people and animals alike. Beauty lives in both the ordinary and the unexpected, and I’m always chasing the moments that make me feel something.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d use part of the money to upgrade my equipment and invest in my craft—better gear, tools, and opportunities to grow as a photographer. At the same time, I’d make sure to take care of my family and help set them up for the future. It’s important to me that while I’m building something for myself, I’m also creating stability and support for the people who matter most.
