I create because I feel. Perpetually chasing the high of self expression, as I was denied this basic need for a long time.

Mixed media, by a long shot. I love to create using whatever tool feels right! Being limited to a single type of paint, marker, etc is too rigid for my taste. I also find that the pieces I've made in dark places are my favorite. I enjoy raw and sometimes painful art the most. The type of art that forces you to feel something, even if you'd rather avoid that feeling.
Where do you find inspiration? My main sources of inspiration are nature, spirituality, and the human condition. Exploring the depths and complexities of others and my own life brings some of my darker pieces. When I want to shut off the part of my brain that won't stop thinking about the ugliness of my past or the absolute shit show humans have created, I look at nature and try to find some peace. While I'm not religious, spirituality is important to me, and nature and spirituality are intertwined (at least in my mind).
What would you do with $25,000?1) Help a friend with her rent (she struggles a lot and deserves a break). 2) Help my nieces (one of them lives with me, the other moved out and could use help). 3) Buy a new cat tower for my cats (they are perfect little buddies and deserve a new throne). 4) Take my husband on a nice date! 5) Survive, lol. Most of it will go towards bills and savings because we are living off of one income, since I have multiple disabilities and struggle to find flexible jobs.
