I make art because some truths are too heavy for words alone. Paint holds what I can't say out loud.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create lives somewhere between painting and ritual. I work in mixed media . layering acrylic, watercolor, ink, texture, found materials, and anything else that wants to be part of the piece ..because no single medium can hold everything I'm trying to say. I'm drawn to the dark. Not darkness for shock value, but the kind that's honest ..the grief that doesn't have a name, the beauty hiding inside decay, the sacred things most people look away from. My work is gothic and ornate,
Where do you find inspiration? The forgotten and the strange. Old things that carry history in their bones. Decay that hasn't lost its beauty. The parts of being human that are hard to say out loud — grief, transformation, the shadows we carry and the light we find inside them. Nature. Symbolism. My own healing journey. I'm most inspired when something makes me feel something I can't name yet. That's usually when I know I need to make it.
What would you do with $25,000?Pay off my debt so I can stop creating out of desperation and start creating purely from emotion. The pieces that always sell are the ones born from something real — buyers feel the difference. I've always known that. Imagine making that kind of work every single day, with nothing in the way. That's what $25k would give me. Pure creative freedom.
