I create from a personal place — a conversation between my medium, my inner emotional world, and my daily encounters with the life around me. When all of these elements collide, the result is what I call my art — and this is my favorite art to make. I witness. I process. I translate. My hope is to open a channel of communication that a child can connect with and an older adult can reflect upon.

My inspiration comes from observing the world I experience daily, as well as from the knowledge I’ve acquired throughout my life. Nature plays a major role as my muse, as I find it to be a mystery and a source of infinite inspiration. I strongly believe that we mirror nature, constantly reflecting our connection to it and to all the elements that are part of it. The very act of questioning our belonging—and our place within the vast ecosystem of forms, colors, and textures—is enough to inspire.

I want to help my artistic practice keep evolving in different ways. Having financial means would allow me to achieve some of my goals and share my work with the public at large—from improving my studio infrastructure to bringing the art-making experience into local communities as a way of sharing, shaping, and reinforcing their communal spirit. It would also give me the opportunity to dive deeper into the creative process and, hopefully, to develop a new series of works.
