I love creating through sculpture, it makes me feel. Nothing else draws me in for hours at a time. So much so it’s hard to break away.

Primarily sculpture. However I like to create anything that takes me somewhere else. I like to become so ingrained in what I’m doing that, in that moment, outside things are secondary. No expectations, obligations, fear, worry etc. It’s at that time that I’m really free to wander and explore whatever I’m doing.
Where do you find inspiration?I can find inspiration anywhere really. My biggest sources probably come from other artists in the special effects industry, from sci-fi and fantasy movies to tv. Inspiration has even come from music, conversations, people, depression, anger, sadness, happiness and nature of course.
What would you do with $25,000?That money would help build my wife and I’s outdoor studio we began building 5 years ago. We bought 3 shipping containers, built a floor between them and covered it with a thin canopy. We actually had our reception in there. But over the years storms have destroyed the canopy, so there’s currently no roof. Just no real funds to finish it out. We’ve never had a dedicated art space outside of a room in our house or apt. It’d be incredible to finish it out and finally have that space for ourselves.
