art for me is a process of externalizing and quieting the cacophony of noise in my head, it’s necessary catharsis. i create to not be unmade

music & visual arts, i write & produce my own music, of many different genres from EDM to folk to alternative. i absolutely love singing & playing the guitar, getting to write a guitar solo is definitely one of my favourite things to do, i’m usually writing & playing till my fingers are raw. i’ve also found a love for customizing clothing, taking recycled garments & painting, drawing, or embroidering my art onto a them as wearable canvas, focusing on using existing clothes to reduce waste
Where do you find inspiration?usually i want to convey something, especially with music, i want to translate an experience, a feeling, a moment. i feel like there’s this far off nostalgic thing i reach for, i think we all reach out for something and the feelings and passing details of fleeting experiences hold troves of inspiration. for the last year i’ve carried around a notebook, a catch all notebook, fleeting thoughts, funny moments, i record these snippets and i take the little bits and peice them together to create
What would you do with $25,000?1st steve vai signature guitar, for sure, gotta fufill that dream someday, but then i’d invest in some screen printing equipment, at present i customize pieces by hand, but i feel that there’s so so much more i could do with reliable screen printing, as well as a kick ass sewing machine. then i’d like to be able to rent a studio space, use some of that money to pay the rent for a few months, sleep in the studio, and just create, i just want to create, make things, that $ would seriously help :))
