What I love the most about making art is when I get in the zone and everything else fades away. You can see my work on noellaborie.com
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite form of art is character-focused narrative and composition using watercolors and mixed media, but my true passion lies in stop motion. I love everything about it: the process of building sets and characters specifically designed for animation, capturing picture after picture, and gradually moving the puppet to see it come to life. You could say I'm a visual artist, as my favorite creations often end up in video form; I love movies and crafting cinematic motion in my videos.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw much of my inspiration from films and animated movies or shows. I pay close attention to every detail in how these works are crafted. While watching cartoons, I often find myself counting frames. Additionally, I find inspiration in painters, and as a result, I possess a vast collection of art books that I frequently consult for ideas and motivation.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to finance an indie short film project I have in progress to assist with post-production and film festival fees, which often include additional travel expenses. The money would also allow me to work on my graphic novel for a while without worrying about paying the bills.
