I’ve always enjoyed art since I was a teenager. I took it up seriously after I retired from a career in aviation maintenance in 2008.

I explore differnet aspects of art. My primarily focus is on portraits of women as I enjoy bringing out photos to life-like images in my paintings. I experiment with color and shading techniques until I am comfortable with how I envision the final painting. I also use modeling paste to give my paintings texture and a visual reality of depth that paint alone can't achieve.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from personal experience or just a feeling of creativity. I've created paintings just by scribbling lines on paper. It depends on what's gong on with my life at times as well. If an opportunity presents itself I will take the risk and see where it leads. Life can take you in many positive directions if you let it just happen without too much thought process.
What would you do with $25,000?My youngest son is struggling with his life at the moment and I would use the money to help him get his life back on track. He suffers from mental illness and at the moment I am his only means of support. I am doing all that I can right now to provide him with the help he needs so that he can move forward and be self-sufficient.
