I love to create which allows me to transform and evolve. It also allows me to cross borders to demonstrate my environment from Mexico & US.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
For now. Contemporary art. Using techniques such as acrylic, oil and cake. I have made Murals, both in the church and in the “Lienzo Charro” of my town. Canvases and handmade paper made of agave bagasse by artisans in which he made another work of art. The textures, the fillings, the colors, the gold leaf, remains of dry paint and soft brushstrokes characterize my work.
Where do you find inspiration?I paint the Agavero Landscape, the valley, the food, the drink, the memories, my feelings, my environment. I paint my Mexico, to cross both the border and the spiritual. In Virginia they rejected a work, I took it to Mexico and after 10 years I transformed it. Resistance has allowed me to see that evolution in my work on par with my being as an artist. Now that work is on display at Northwest State University in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
What would you do with $25,000?I would create my studio, to continue creating but large enough to teach and be able to share what I know with more people.
