I love to create art and imagery about women because their stories hold endless depth, strength, and beauty. Through color, light, and form.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art explores the human condition and invites the viewer to complete the story in their own mind — I give a prompt, you supply the narrative. I work primarily in oil on canvas because it balances freedom and discipline: oil allows expressive gestures and luminous layering, yet demands precision and control to achieve a pristine finish. That tension — creativity guided by craft — is what I love: making images that hold ambiguity, emotion, and space for personal interpretation.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere through a constant state of observation. I try to stay on a frequency where ideas can be caught, always keeping my attention on women—their stories and the many hats we have historically worn. I love witnessing women liberate themselves, battle their circumstances, and grow resilience to create better lives for themselves—and often for others. They often lead with empathy, challenging societal barriers while fostering community through nurturing care and unwavering.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to deepen my knowledge of color techniques and theory. A summer workshop in Florence is an absolute dream—an immersive opportunity to study tradition and craft, gain hands‑on experience, and return with greater confidence and clarity. That concentrated time with instructors and peers would accelerate my technical growth and expand my visual vocabulary, helping me take more intentional risks and develop a stronger, more assured practice.
