Creating these scenes has been my escape for years, it’s like I’m creating my own little worlds to be whatever I can dream it to be.

My favorite medium is wax. I love creating little worlds and sculptures. It’s amazing to see it all come together from something as simple as wax and turn it into on escape to another world.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration a lot of times comes from being outside in nature during any season. I use a lot of natural elements in my art, such as moss, lichen, and stone. Going outside and looking at the natural colors or textures really get my creativity flowing and in a perfect headspace.
What would you do with $25,000?I would be investing in my art work and future with this prize money. I would finally be able to create a studio space where I can go and escape into my own world and just create for myself and others. As well as have enough supplies to create larger installments of my art and bring more opportunities for my community to enjoy art.
