I love creating art because it’s my god given talent, and it would be insane not to use my gift and share it with the world.

My favorite type of art to make, is anything weird, black and queer. I am an artist that specializes in Afrofuturism, which reimagines, reinterprets, and reclaims the past and present for a more empowering future for black peoples
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in reading and watching a lot of horror films and Sci-fi. My favorite horror movie is Jordan Peeles’ Nope and Killer Klowns from Outer space. Yes, two very sides of the spectrum, but it’s the truth.
What would you do with $25,000?The $25,000 would help me get on my feet after graduating with my Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Grad school is a LOT of money and I’ve been having to fund my practice out of pocket. So, the money would be put toward having a studio space to be able to continue to create outside of school!
