My favorite type of art to create is ledger art. The process of taking antique ledgers made to document the money made on the genocide of my people and utilizing them to make art, and document the rise and healing of the Native peoples of North America is very inspirational to me.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration from the elders and stories of my peoples history. The stories of medicines, botany, community, resilience, strength, and humbleness brings hope and healing to the people and inspires everything I do.
What would you do with $25,000?I would build an artist studio so I can create art in a space that allows my full creative visions to come to life.
