My favorite art to create would the contemporary traditional jewelry wear. It gives engineering challenges and complex designs that other native artists are afraid to do. Due to the tradition or tourist jewelry design.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration from my dad telling me about my grandfather being a silversmith teacher in my tribe teaching history and designs of our culture and tradition which our family still carries on this day that would make me a 3rd generation silversmith and heshi artist.
What would you do with $25,000?I would split up the amount of $25,000 towards my daughters college education and to also use towards my jewelry materials that is needed to continue my exploration of traditional and cultural techniques of becoming a better silversmith. This amount of money would greatly appreciate due to past struggles as a silversmith and parent. I would be considered it as a blessing.
