I enjoy making paintings. From diving into various art forms, I will always find my hand with a brush. The idea of making various brush strokes to build up an image will always be wonderful to me. Making something out of nothing.
Where do you find inspiration? My biggest inspiration has, and always will be, my own life. Each piece that I have made, is a direct reflection of what revolves around me, what I am into. Being Mexican, the chicano art movement will always be a big inspiration, walking around my community and seeing graffiti everywhere will always find a way to make it into my own style. I realize I have my own story to tell and will respect anyone who takes the time to view it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to fund various mural ideas I have been wanting to do around my community. Most of the places I want to paint are on the sides of local businesses' buildings and mom-and-pop shops. Being able to fund these ideas, would help me bring community together and just focus on the beauty of working together.
