I am an artist who creates to tell stories and be fully self-expressed. I have a lot to say, and sometimes it is easier to do that visually.

My favorite art to create is two-fold... I love creating collage-based, torn-paper compositions for the paper's tactile and textural qualities. I also like using differently colored pieces of paper to bring my ideas to life in a way that differs from my graphic art process. I have been using the computer as my canvas for over 30 years, and I find that composing graphic art using both a collage-minded approach and an illustrative approach is my other favorite art to create.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration by being around other artists. Any and all kinds of creatives inspire me, especially when I get to talk with artists about their process, their challenges, etc. I really thrive best when I am connected to a creative community! Nature is another source of inspiration, and I also pay attention to social issues that affect my community or me.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would invest in enhancing my home studio to create a better space to work, and in materials I can keep in bulk. I think I would also love the idea of investing in some growth & development opportunities to learn from artists in other parts of the world and across the US. Lastly, I would absolutely use some of the money to secure a location for an interactive art show using Augmented Reality as part of the experience for patrons.
