I create art to inspire others. I’m focused on creating whimsical artworks that is also inspired by my life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I mainly create watercolor artworks with light or pastel color schemes the most. I create works that are illustrations of characters or people and settings from my imagination. I love to create these whimsical and fantasy inspired beings or objects materialized and realized by things found in the naturalistic world of the past or present. I also love to design costumes and ‘energies’ for the beings or objects I create, accumulations of small details or objects to help materialize a visual.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration within my everyday life, especially living here by a beach in Florida and growing up in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I love how friends and family in my life express themselves in every way and how even here in Florida I notice the nature changing. I am also inspired by other illustrators and artists as well as sculptors and digital artists speciafically. I have always been inspired by costume designers the most, Eiko Ishioka has been my biggest inspiration growing up.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to pursue my bachelors and masters in fine arts, I’m in the process of earning my AA degree and am halfway there right now! I’m looking to transfer to complete my degree and get involved with a degree in costume design as well which is my dream. I would save it for the future also for me or my family’s financial troubles or needs. I‘m just as interested in earning the reward as I am in sharing my artwork with the world and contributing and continuing a cycle of inspiration!
